This idea that Murray hates the English with a passion, is based on a couple of jocular off the cuff remarks about the all conquering England football team.....I think it's called banter folks.

And he's not Scottish he's British, at least until Sunday afternoon.

If Murray wins Wimbledon, Ennis could do the heptathlon naked and Murray would still win Sports Personality.

Also another thing about these 'anti-English' comments that he said, the quote was he would support 'anyone but England' in the 2006 World Cup. I personally love it when the Scots fail too but I don't hate the country.

Federer plays the Pr machine well when it comes to the media about being a peoples champion, but its no secret that a lot of the top players cant stand him for his arrogance off court. I hope Murray beats him. Ive enjoyed watching him this week.

There not British though so who cares. Henman used to play Davis cup and represent us. Murray makes up an excuse every time. Nadal plays for Spain, he finds the time to be there for his nation. You're a sensitive soul aren't you? Generally when people harbour bitter resentment over a period of several years its for something a bit more serious than this like complete betrayal/marital infedelity etc, not some daft comments about a Football team.

I think Murray might have been trying out this new fangled thing called a "sense of humour", you might want to try it out I've heard its quite good.

Oh and for the record Murray's represented the GB Davis cup to team on dozens of occasions and was so overcome with emotion after winning one important tie that he cried. Obviously a pig puff but not one who doesn't care about representing Great Britain.

Obviously holding a grudge when a kid makes a daft off the cuff comment is ok. To be fair I've never forgiven my son for what he said when he was two and a half. Ok he might have been crying because I wouldn't let him play in the garden any longer because after 20 minutes he was getting cold in the snow. Maybe in retrospect I should have left him out a bit longer to get hypothermia, but his comment between his tantrum and tears of 'not loveoo daddie' was unforgiveable.

Really enjoyed the match - it would have been great to see a fifth set. Roger just seemed to find the line at the right time, great player but still a bit gutted for Murray.

Hopefully Murray won't become the tennis version of Jimmy White. Hopefully he will get a couple of slams....
