Pools to be Champions might be worth each way bet once signings announced

66/1 with William Hill so 33/2 for a top 3 finish.

Personally I'd want much better odds than that for Pools to finish in the top 3.

Id be wanting at least 100/1 on the title before it crossed my mind.

50/1 on promotion and id have a dabble.

I'd probably have a few quid each way if we were 200/1 but otherwise I wouldn't be interested.

I can think of better people to give money to than a bookie, you'd be better off doing an 8 team accumulator and getting 66/1 than backing it on Pools to finish in the top 3.

What exactly is an each way bet? Like we finish in top three. (Or 4 for Paddy Power).

Our points totals for the last 3 seasons haven't been a million miles away from the points total we got the last time we went down. If the groundsale didn't go through and IOR started cutting back we could well and truly be in the dogshyte.
Got to agree with the chipster on this one.

I certainly wouldnt be tempted at 50/1.

Even IF we make a few signings then i cant see those odds shortening much at all so I would hang fire if anyone is remotely tempted to put a few quid on Pools being champions.

I'll give anyone 200/1 now for us to be champions.

On the subject of betting, who was it that bet myself and others last season that we would finish in the top half. Whoever it was hasn't paid up yet!

I have only had an each way bet on us winning the league 3 times. In 1990/91 when we came 3rd, in 2002/03 when we came 2nd & for some reason last season where I must have got carried away with the season ticket deal & the signing of Solano, but 2 out of 3 isnt a bad return. I wont be bothering this season though.

Anyone who is thinking of having a bet remember that "each way" and "to be promoted" are two entirely different things.
