Hello all,

I'm a features writer with the men's magazine 'Front' and we're covering Sunday's match for our regular 'Rivals' feature, where we visit a derby game and give fans from both sides the chance to vent spleen against their bitter enemies. The more vitriolic and spiteful the comments are the better the feature generally tends to be.

What I was wondering is whether there'll be a number of your fans drinking in Darlo town centre before kick-off and if there are any 'away-friendly' pubs where a decent number of you will be congregated, so that we can get some quotes, take some photos and put you in Britain's best magazine.

Any help (either on this thread or via a PM) greatly appreciated.

Andy

I passed two on the walking route but I doubt they're away friendly and we'll be allowed in. Cleveland Police don't want us in the town center or anywhere other than the ground or walking route. I've got a feeling they'll try and arrest us under that stupid section of the police act if they find us off it.

Pork???

Right, I'm not interviewing you then - although the 'Wacky Races' reference in your username suggests that you're WELL outside our 18-30 target readership age anyway!!

Well if you are local & know owt about football you should know better than to ask bloody stupid questions like in your first post. (assuming you aren't a Loid in disguise)

Aye, Proctor is shite, we know it, you know it, Wrexham fans are also about to discover he's no Milton Nunez.

Ah, bollocks to it - instead of trying to fight against the southern-based media's Premiership bias I'll just knock out an easy two-pager on 'Chelsea's Top Ten Haircuts' or something.

That's better. Don't forget your target audience, no big words.

Sir, your barbed words cut through to the very core of my being. I am literally withered by the raging brutality of your latest online missive.

You appear to intimate that the delicately-pressed pages of our august organ are filled with cloth-eared ephemera aimed at a baying, slack-jawed audience of motley fools.

I urge you to rid your mind of this rigid and unbending outlook as I insist that nothing could be further from the truth. Why, in our most recent of issues we have exhaustively covered such topics as the potential benefits of regularly imbibing one's own urine, along with a breathtaking pictorial feature displaying a gamut of dogs in a range of fancy dress costumes.

And WWE wrestling and naked girls off of the internet. Obviously.

Yet you still include tautology. You're robbing your employers.

You wouldn't believe some of the applications we had for our recent sub-editing vacancy. At least 70% of them had to be subbed and returned to the applicants. Humans - we're all doomed I tells ya.
