Shamelessly pinched off Sheffield Wednesday, in fact the following thread...
http://boards.rivals.net/default.asp?si ... 2121872474

Basically they have an award called the Alan Harper Award, which is about the player that does the most damage to their cause over the course of a season. Points are awarded for getting booked (1 point), sent off (3), scoring an own goal (3), conceding a penalty (2) and missing one (2).

Could be quite entertaining to work it out, obviously it couldn't be called the same thing... I was wondering about the Gus Di Lella Memorial Award?

If I have chance I'll have a look at MadJohn's site and see who would be top at the mo....

Could be counter-productive......people might start trying to win it!

Right!

At the moment, the Top 5 consists of....
Daly 11
Nelson 9 (including the Phantom Booking)
Williams D 7 (Likewise)
Liddle 7
Clark 7

Daly's figure is made up of 6 yellows, 1 Red (albeit revoked on appeal), and 1 Penalty Mills; Nelson has 5 yellows and 2 conceding penalties (1 was the first on Saturday, the other Hereford).

The thing that sticks out really is how well disciplined our side has been, and how low the scores are considering all the games played. We've given away 5 penalties all season, 2 of them missed/saved; not scored an own goal; had three sendings off, one of which was revoked and one which was harsh in the extreme (Sweeney at Macc), and our most carded player is Liddle with just 7. I suspect if we go and find the fair play league we'll be at the top end!

 Any award with Gus' name on it sounds good.

As for who'll pick it up...

Jon Daly has had 6 yellows, a red and scored an own goal. He didn't missed a pen though.

You beat me to it...I knew it was Daly. Who did he miss the pen against?

Edit: Remembered, Mansfield and then Monkhouse put it in.

Ah, missed the OG! Daly is therefore further out in front on 14 points, quite an achievement (ahem!)

The awards a great idea!

So Jon Daly could end up being still top scorer for Pools and with the Gus Di Lella award

Poor Jon, He's still a legend
