I think a few have been slightly over critical of him as well. Expectations where high and he had some good games at the start of the season.

He was slated for aparantly refusing to play but I seem to remember cooper openly saying solano was surplus to requirements in the mail.

I just think there is more to the story. Hopefully we will find in time....

Copper said in the press he's not gunna be first choice at the moment (January) but wasn't ruling him out of playing a part as the season progressed... Hardly justification for refusing to play, would he have dared do that to bobby Robson 10 years ago?

He was the highest paid player by Pools by some distance with an income of over £5k per week and that was after tax. His attitude was shit, he didn't always turn up to for training, he was getting special treatment initially but when the team is in a bad run you can't afford passengers. NS thinks he was badly done to because he was asked to work harder and basically get fit. He has also been a regular on the social scene in Newcastle - sometimes less than 48 hours before a game......

I seem to remember the words being "not in my plans".

Do not have to try hard to work that out.

What did he do exactly? Are we just forming opinions without facts?

I'm dealing purely with facts mate, copper said not in plans right now but who hd may figure again later, pools included him in a squad for a reserve game, which he failed to show up for, that was on the official site and is also a fact.

Are these like the stories about boydy? In his second stint at pools the stories about him where mostly shite. I have regularly seen him down the town. He might have 1 or 2 drinks but people exaggerate the truth.

Who told you solano was on 5 k a week after tax. I highly doubt pools where paying him nearly 8k a week, give your head a shake.

I have heard nish is the highest earner. It is funny how rumours change from person to person.

I didn't say that NS was drinking alcohol did I? As I don't know whether he was or wasn't but he was seen out late by some people I know less than 48 hours before a game.

As for his wages - you can believe what you want but I only post what I have been told.....

And just because you don't want to believe something is true doesn't mean that it isn't...

Let's lock him away in his house eh?

What you have been told...... That just proves my point

Ok then - we will go with what you want to believe...

It's also not a case of locking someone in the house - it's just not good preparation for a game - especially when he was already in bad physical shape....

The facts as we know them:

He didn't turn up for a pick up for a reserve game the day after a night out in Newcastle. Both events were publicised in the media for different reasons.

He had talk in sessions and gigs with his band during a period where suffering from "illness". This is also indisputable. http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/wrekenton ... 67026.html

Forget anything else, those examples show me how much commitment Nobby Solano had to our football club.

Edit: Here too - http://twitter.com/nolbertosolano/statu ... 2124089345

I have also heard the rumour that he didn't quite do all of the work in training that the other players had to do and this was from day 1, unfortunately I think the eggs in the Nobby basket was MW's make or break moment.

In a few of the early games his quality was there to see but so was his lack of fitness and inability to seemingly get through games.

Another shame as if he had the attitude of a Paul Murray he could have been outstanding for us

Jonny, you seem to have all the contract details of all the Pools players.

Can I ask a simple question, seeing as how IOR are remarkably closed lipped about these things to the national press??

How?? sctatchinghead
