I don't think that a man of the match should be announced when we get beat. I didn't think the announcement deserved the response from the crowd that it got. I think Monkey always tries his best but he doesn't have the confidence he used to have because he is probably not the player he used to be.

It was a completely fair reaction to the man of the match announcement.

..agree totally, announcing a decision on this when we are behind in a game only fuels more negative response, and we all know that some sponsors are not particularly hardened football fans, who would find it hard to drag their noses away from the indian food parcel mix in the exec suite.

Well Monkhouse has been acting the part of a footballer for a good year or so now so maybe they appreciated his craft.

Maybe it would be an idea not to announce a mom. It passes me off anyway why should there be a mom? Football. is a team game and therefore the contributions of all should be recognised .How about instead of a mom we could have a shit player of through match Im sure theyd find some candidates. After all said n done the only person awarding mom should be the manager!

MOTM was Paul Murray with Noble a close second.

Noble didn't have a fair chance to be MOTM though as everything he did he made himself. There were evewn times he was pointing players out where to move etc, he must be wishing he never came.

I think it just goes to show you how accurate a man of the match award chosen by Sponsors is.

As for the people giving the MOM awards, I don't think they are football minded and just pick a name they recognise. I bet they have probably only got 10 - 20% correct all season
