But sad to hear about this, he hasn't had much of a chance under Cooper...Ideally he will get another chance for next season.

Waste of wage on appearances alone the only thing to do unfortunately. is to release him and free up his wage ..If we can

I'm sure we could release him, but if you believe some people he'll have either 1 or 2 years left on his contract, therefore the option to release him could cost us somewhere in the region of £208,000 - £416,000.

More realistically I reckon releasing him (aka paying up his contract) would cost us somewhere around £80-£100,000, you both agree it's not working out, he gets to look for a new club in the summer. Alternatively he says no thank you and sees out his contract making the odd first team appearance.

Not the sort of money I imagine KH would want to 'waste'.

He's already scored more this season than Boyd did throughout all of last season, yet about half the folks on here seemed pleased that Boyd got an extension. I think Nish is a half decent player who deserves another year. If his injuries don't clear up and he doesn't improve then fine, release him, but I can't imagine his wage is that high. I bet you Cooper gets him going.

I am still trying to come to terms with the fact that he was Wadsworth's top target last summer.

He might not have been. Wadsworth was hardly going to come out and say "all my targets werent interested and wikipedia claims this fella is a striker, so I thought, fuck it, lets sign him up!"

All very well Mr B, apart from the fact that Waddy actually told me that Nish was his main target. Without trawling previous Wadworth outburts I do believe he also said the same in public.
