I thought his display today was absolutely garbage.
For the first time I was considering complaining to the football league but then I thought of.......brick wall....against.......hitting head......etc etc.

Shite. would be too good a word for him. He singlehandedgy fooked up the game .What with their thug players being allowed to pull and push our players all over he was an absolute cock

He was so shite it was laughable, and that was equally shite to both teams to be fair so I think we're allowed to criticise on a factual level as I certainly don't think he was competent enough to be biased or on the fiddle.

In fact the referee yesterday reminded me of watching Scooby Doo as a kid. I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if on Monday morning the cleaners at Pools found the real referee tied up in a cupboard wearing just his socks and doggers and it transpired that the guy on the pitch yesterday had nicked his kit as some kind of evil plan.

Worst decision for me is when their player fell onto the ball and picked it up (NW corner). The ref waved play on until he picked the ball up, then he gave them the free kick. Is it wasnt a foul surely thats handball, or does the ref know a rule I dont?

Worst for me was when he gave us advantage on half way line at Mill House side despite them gaining the ball sctatchinghead

Or when Liddle got sychthed down late on half way line and referee told him to get up.

Worst for me was when Sweeney was clattered at the end. Whether the ref/linesman thought it was intentional or not they could surely see that it was a head injury. I honestly thought Sweens might end up being red carded at the final whistle. He swore angrily and repeatedly in the lino's face and then went to have a pop at the ref as well. The ref seemed to reach for his pocket before thinking better of it.

Wasnt this when our team played on for a bit with the ball then the town end all started booing when Stevenage got the ball and didnt kick it out either?

Its one thing that gets my goat in football, if one side has a player down with a head injury surely they should kick it out, and they cant complain when the opposition win the ball and also decide to keep the ball in play.

The referee was fookin garbage like. Probably the worst I have seen in a couple of seasons (and thats saying something after the standard of late). The lino on the Cyril knowles side was useless too.

What really annoyed me was when they called for a penalty and their player hugged the ball on the floor and no free kick was given for obstruction, he was ontop of it for about 10 seconds for gods sake.

Someone was complaining about that as they went out saying it was F****** scandalous that Stevenage hadn't kicked the ball out with Pools having a player down. When I pointed out we played on for a good minute or so and actually put a cross in over Sweeney whilst he was lying on the floor his reply was well we were attacking they should kick it out once they've won it back and then we throw it back to them once the injured player has been treated. DOH. sctatchinghead

That does my head in when opposing supporters get on their high horses about the other team not kicking the ball out.

If you're that fricking bothered...kick it out yourselves!
