its going to the lowest tide in history this weekend-
-a normal 2m swell will rise to 6m-
-get ur wellies on and see the underwater forest at Seaton-
-crabs and lobsters galore-
on the down side --the marina is likely to flood--
--as is most of Hartlepool :uhoh: :uhoh:

all information supplied by a fisherman who will stay anonomous until after the event

My local fisherman came to me house last week and gave us twenty-three whole mackerel. And he'd gutted them, nice man.
He thinks the dog's having them though.

I remember the sunken forest, in mid seventies, the whole school trooped down to see it. Wellies are definitely adviseable if this is true.

My memory might be playing tricks on me here, but isn't there a shipwreck close to North Gare which is only visible every few years?

I'm sure my grandad took me down to see it one year, a large wooden ship with only the ribs remaining.

Aye, I remember it was on the national news as the owners were worried about salvage laws and expected it to be claimed for scrap.

Does anyone remember a ship being washed up near there during the mid to late 80s? It was stuck there for quite a few days.
