Avatars?
How much impact do they have on how you view the bunkerite?
Subconciously or consciously
Odd; now dont take this the wrong way but it seems I like Snowy more now he's changed his avatar.
Before, when he was blackaddder, he seemed a bit smug (even though I like blackaddder)
I also like elvis and groovy because of their nice arses :uhoh:

....avatars do affect your perceptions of a person if you don't actually know them, you can't help it and you do attribute the characteristics of the avatatr character onto the poster unitentionally...so if i said something totally innocently, the Blackadder influence would take over.
I'm more Hancock in real life anyway.

It is thought provoking though as it does help form assumptions from a visual perspective which could influence how the reader views the post.

Fooking hell its not even 9 o clock in the morning

but you are right

I preferred me without the Avatar

I feel used and shallow at the same time

Embarrassed by the ease in which the feeling of need to compete with clever avatars consumed me and so in the vain hope of wanting to be 'accepted' ' one of the gang' I came up with this one.

I am ashamed of being a monkey's bum ( no offence scott)

But
Fook it

Sally Carr is by far the sexiest Scotswoman EVER. Like a 1971 version of Helen Chamberlain but without the rough edges, a beautiful, magnificent, glorious figure of a woman. She's 50-odd now and still incredible! clappp

What?
Even sexier than Shirley Manson off of Garbage?

Or Sharleen Spiteri off of Texas?

I think I'm going to ditch big Stevie Howard as my avatar. His lucky charm effect worked like a, erm, charm as I picked him when Derby were top of the league and I like to think that played a part in pulling Pools to the top of the division too

But he's not needed any more. I guess I'll stick to a player but I've used most of the greats - Dalton, Baker...., Mark Proctor, Canham, Di Lella. Decisions, decisions. Requests? confised

Seeing as it Paddys weekend what about the legend :sweeeet: Image

Given my label as a tree hugging etc., my name and avatar sort of picked themselves really...

You do get impressions about individual bunkerites but I think it's based more on the kind of posts they write than avatars. You even picture what people look like, tho probably you're wrong. For some weird reason, when I see Katcha's avatar, I always think it's one of your posts, even tho I don't know what you look like and I've no idea whose photo Katcha is using.
Mr Tait's posts I always read with one eye closed so I can't see those orrible rubber lips.
p.s. how do you do avatars? I might get round to getting one, one day

I always think that as well; I have to look again! What's really surprising about the mistake, is that they're both very different contributors with different perspectives. Perhaps it is because their avatars are slightly similar?

click on your name, go into your profile, scroll to the bottom and upload picture from your computer or a website, cutting and pasting the address into the space.
I think so anyway. It was ages ago when I did mine.
Only problem is they do have to be small pictures

I suppose mine and Katcha's avatars are similar-ish. I've been thinking of changing mine for a while now (not because its similar to Katcha's) but havent got round to it/seen a better one.
Go on Grabec, have a go. We dont want you feeling left out now.

Be quiet.
You're always spoiling things, just when I'm trying to be wild and free.....

I started thinking on Peanuts lines through Micky Nelson. Sometimes when he decides to take off with the ball and go tearing off down field, he reminds me of Charlie Brown. There's definitely a bit of the Charlie Brown deep down in Micky, tho of course he's tons better at sport.
