Noon today for bids to be in, noon tomorrow for a decision by the administrators as to whether any bids are credible. The echo says that the bidders are local businesses and the rescue group, a housing developer (who must have some side deal to acquire the ground/land as well otherwise why buy the club?) and 'someone known to Darlington fans.' Tino? George? Vic Reeves? Or just a famous person?

So what happens if before this "deadline" they say, "I'm Out".

He must have a fair bit of money but looking at this quote from a few years back it doesn't sound like his sort of thing-

"Give a business a go if your conviction is strong, but if it doesn't work out, don't keep throwing good money after bad.

It is about knowing when to get out."

If the administrator rejects the bids, or the bidders pull out, Darlo get liquidated and that is that. Phoenix club needed if the fans can agree to work together.

there is always going to be the odd lunatic in situations like this, and anyone they perceive as being to blame will be fair game

Jesus wept, if the administrators are taking him seriously he must be meeting anyone who rings up and says they're keen.

I've just heard that Michael Gove wants to recycle the Arena into the new Royal Yacht Britannia sponsored by the Northern Echo. May God Bless her and all who go down on her!

What, too soon? :uhoh:
