Darlington football club is urging Quakers' fans to act quickly if they want to secure a ticket for the much awaited derby against local rivals Hartlepool.

The League Two leaders have reported huge queues at Victoria Park with Pools fans desperate to get their hands on a ticket with their full allocation of three thousand expected to be sold out within hours.

DFC has received a request from Hartlepool for extra tickets to be allocated if at all possible. However, DFC has decided to give Quakers' fans until after Saturday's home game with Hereford to guarantee their place for the crucial derby match on Sunday week.

Chief Executive, Jon Sotnick, said: "I have received numerous calls asking if we are going to give extra allocation to Hartlepool. It is highly probable that we will issue them with a further 500 and we will re-assess the situation once we have given our fans every chance to buy a ticket. For this Saturday only, we are keeping the ticket office open until 7pm to allow supporters to be able to obtain their derby ticket. I would like to re-iterate to everyone that this is an all-ticket match and there will be no access on the day without a valid ticket. The car park will also be operating on a ticket only basis."
