It is good news for the young lads and they proved recently that when they have been given the chance they are up to the job. MW was over-cautious in a number of areas and it cost him his job in the end.

I'm glad Cooper is back, a much more exciting time lies ahead!

It would be fantastic if the 5 mentioned played some part in the latter part of the season, discarding Baldwin of course who looks like cementing a permanent place now!!

To guess..assuming you mean first taste (which rules out Sweeney)
Appleby, Maidens, Foley, Istead,Craddock,Wilkinson,Provett* Robson,Brackstone

Provett played under Turner in the LDF vans whatever but don't recall him playing in the leage

even if their careers never blossomed after Pools - everyone just think about this for a second. The relatively few appearances they all made in their careers resulted in the two best seasons this club has ever had.
If that's not a testament to NC at the time then I don't know what is!!!

I think Ste Turnbull was the other kid who Cooper introduced to the first team.

I think Ste Turnbull started getting his game under Scotty.
