Stupid bastards!

I had the misfortune of working in a pub full of the fools last night. They beat a tin-pot Dutch side and suddenly its:

"The sleeping giant has awoken"

and

"We're gannin' aal the way this time!"

What's worse is they think that I'm automatically interested in their shit team because I'm from the North East and so must be 'one of them'.

Come on Alkmaar!

I personally HATE all other north east teams.......

I hate any team who isnt Pools to be honest with you!!

I dislike the 'big three' but find the Mags particularly insufferable. Nice to get a cheap laugh at them watching the news when they get another 'big name' signing, which guarantees the season ticket sales and shirt revenue for another season. No wonder Shepherd laughs at them!

and I agree I think Sunderland & Newcastle are big, Work with quite a few of there 'Fans' who are season ticket holders & They seem a canny bunch

I would pack in watching footy altogether if the set-up of our club or the lower leagues changed to becoming feeder clubs for the big clubs, or even if their reserve teams joined the lower leagues as discussed previously.
