...Tom and Jerry? Those classic, well drawn 40's cartoons seem to have disappeared without trace ...

You can get quite 'modern' ones, my nephew has a few, but they are so sanitised they arent worth watching

The modern ones were 'drawn' badly in the 60's and are the absolute pits, about as funny as an outbreak of rabies in a Guide dog for the blind puppy kennels.

What I find odd, is how something like Tom and Jerry can be classed as violent and shunned, while all sorts of extreme violence is easily available on everything from computer games to DVD's.
Can someone tell the 'experts' that I didn't really believe that your face assumed the shape of a flat iron if you got struck in the face with one...?

They spoiled Tom and Jerry when they put a voice track on. I think it was after Fritz Freeleng died and bloody Disney bought it.

I took a lass to Amsterdam once for the weekend and when we checked into the hotel I found out it was Tom and Jerry weekend on Cartoon Network and barely left the room.

It was short lived romance........
