Lovely to see him well on the way back.

But where is he going to fit in?? Brown, Barker and Williams are undroppable at the moment.

Discuss and discourse....... confised confised

you mean like Foley already is?

A bench with Boland Porter, Provett, Williams and Foley would do me fine.

a bench without Gibb would do me, ive only been going to pools since around 1990 but has there been a worser player since then confised

Can't really see what Gibb offers to the team but I'm still trying to reserve judgement until he gets a proper run, Danny Wilson has been spot on with the rest of his signings.

Arguably Matty Robson? Think I'd rather see Gibb on the bench than him.

Gibb the worst since 1990- I know football is a game of opinions but that's genuinely ludicrous.

Gibb was by some margin Pools best player away at Grimsby this year and has put in decent cameos many times.

I daresay that with an hour on Madjohn's website I (and you if you were being honest) could comfortably name 100 less gifted players in blue and white since 1990.

Wilson doesn't sign or pick nuggets.

I'm always at a loss when someone gets pilloried like this. I mean what has Ali Gibb actually done to deserve the derision he gets?? It's not like he boots the ground or falls over or gives it away every time he gets the ball, I'd guess he's at least as accomplished as Tommy Butler ever was and gets more balls into the box than Tommy ever did.

It's just become fashionable to moan and groan about Ali Gibb. It even started before he arrived. I remember not above a year ago everyone grumbling about Darren Williams just the same. Lee Bullocks had his turn and it seems the jury is still out on him, but he's put numerous good performances in this year. Most of you won't have heard Lee interviewed on Cleveland last Saturday because it was at five to three but I can tell you he's Poolie through and through.

So lets turn off the negative machine eh? If Danny says he's good, he's good.

I remember Andy Mc Avoy having a blinder, can't remember who against though. Seem to remember a great run through half a team, and a good finish (although ITMC says he didn't score for us), or maybe a good shot on target confised., and thinking we've got a star here.

well then he's changed, which is a good thing, but it's why I've had a dislike for him. Rob [howlin holf] moved his furniture from 1 place to another whence he was at york and he said then how much he hated Pools - with a passion.......his performances proved as much to me, esp last season - and to be fair this! I've never seen him play well , tho I'll bow to the rare few that have! Perhaps he now realises he's onto a good thing and maybe its Wilson thats done it...

Gibb is shit. end of. fact. etc.

I want to know who the player is that dibbs is on about who the squad thinks is shat! PM?

The times I 've seen him play he's played well its just that he's only getting the odd 5mins here and there hardly enough time to win over the millhouse moaners is it!!

Finally I seem to remember Mr W Boland getting slagged left right and centre until he got a run in the team. refred refred

Have to agree with all of that!

Even in Bolands first game his through ball to Daly was sheer class, I could agree with people questioning the signing, Mainly down to Bolands fitness, But Cardiff fans loved him for what he did, Bullock on the other hand got mixed reviews from Cardiff fans

I still think we've missed Boland since he's been injured because at times the Midfield looks exposed, But we obviously havent massivley missed him with us still not losing

Have to agree value for money wise Liddle has been an excellent signing, At times I wish Liddle took more of our set pieces

As for Gibb, I think he could be a good signing, But as people said he hasnt had a run in the side and possibly doesnt fit into our style of play

When I have seen him cross it into the box, His crosses have been top notch

I'm willing to bet that the player who is always being told what he should be doing has the initials M.R.
