Caught about 10 Mins of Radio Tees last night whilst driving home from Mackem land.

Subject of booing players etc...... was the topic at the time I was listening ......the Hartlepool Fan who was in the studio also said he attended the Chesterfield game last Saturday like I did.

Apparently one of our players just trundled off up the tunnel at the final whistle and never came across to thank the fans for their support????

Now I had a couple of pints in me but I never noticed this observation....Find it hard to believe on the back of several defeats we go away and win that any Pools player would intentionally not celebrate at the end & thank the fans.

Just found this a little strange did anyone notice this??? I was celebrating the result at the end with everyone else...its weird what people look for whilst at the match it would not enter my head to count how many came over unless none of them did.

He never mentioned the players name whilst I was listening and it not massively important really....just wondering if any other Gadgies noticed this. sctatchinghead

I was there and noticed a lot of players coming to clebrate with the fans but I cant say I particularly looked if everyone was there.

I commented on another board after the game how good it was to see all the players come to the away end and clap the fans for there support so it might have been an odd one but never noticed it.

Whoever it was, if anyone, isn't the first and won't be the last. I seem to remember Willie Boland going straight up the tunnel after games

My money is on James Poole, he'll have been absolutely busting to knock one out over a replay of his first goal.

In seriousness though, I didn't notice anyone sloping although I wasn't looking in that direction. It could have been someone needing ice for a knock or whatever. It's great when the players do come over to applaud the fans, but they're not obliged to.

If somebody did just go straight off, must surely have been injury reasons

Do they still have that system in the bath with the hooter and the bands I havent been there for years. I used to love the inflatable parties over the summer as well.
