In a slightly related style, residents of Stockport are unfathomably known as Stopfordians.

You can use that to amaze & delight your friends in the car / minibus/ knackered old transit van with benches in the back* (delete as applicable) a week on Saturday.

I was born and raised in the middle of the Black Country i.e. Dudley - the second largest town in the UK btw by mum (who died 2 years and 3 months ago) and dad, who were Jamaican Immigrants. Therefore i've got Carribean heritage. Although i'm a Dudliean i.e. a person who's from the Dudley area.

I call a man or woman who's from Stourbridge (which is part of Dudley Bororugh) a glassboy or glassgirl. Because Stourbridge has a rich glass macking heritage since the 16th Century. Due to French protestant glassmakers i.e.Huguenot was who settled in the town.

As alerady mentioned anyone who hails from Wolverhampton (or Wolvo for short) is called a Wulfrunian. Because of Lady Wulfrun who got granted a royal charter in the 12th Century (i think?) to form a settlement called heatun an Anglo-Saxon word meaning High Town.
