I'll bet the list will contain the following:

Brian Honour, John MacPhail, Mick Smith, Joe Allon, Paul Stephenson, Gordon Watson, Rob McKinnon, Bob Newton, Micky Barron, Ritchie Humphreys, Micky Nelson off the top of my head.
This season's side will have some contenders as well!!!!

Is the best signing this club has ever made.

(But I'm right)

He must certainly be giving Toshack a problem if Chris Llewellyn can get into the squad, which he has recently.

We should start a campaign, Effy for Wales!!! Let's bombard Tosh with e-mails!! :sweeeet:

Mind he wouldn't be available for darlo then so lets wait a bit......or the game might get postponed.....

In his current form he is good enough for Wales the problem Effion has had at Pools is being consistantly played out of position or sitting on the bench. Best Pools signing ever.... to be fair I can't think of many better ones we've actually signed, assuming that coming through the ranks ala Boyd/Brown/Miller isn't included.

No question that Eifion has been a great servant to the club, his attitude has been admirable. Despite having been played out on the right for long spells, he's never complained publicly - just got his head down and got on with it.

Best signing ever? Not sure, there are other contenders, but without doubt he's been a very good one. Certainly it's hard to think of many that have displayed more professionalism in their approach to the game....

That's EXACTLY what I was trying to say.

We've got THREE of 'em here at the moment, Williams, Humphreys and Barron, model pros who basically just get on with it, and all three of them are playing the best football of their careers.

Agreed, but I wouldn't say our best ever signings. For different reasons, Turners first signings that kept us in the league probably shave it (for me at any rate)! No long term impact, but a defo short term fix (that was very much needed as well).

The only 3 players to ever get promoted twice in a Pools shirt.

The best signing we've ever made was Ken Hodcroft.
He's played a blinder.
He's had one or two off days but he's more than made up for those by his unbelievable consistency in the others.
