I always liked Hendo, his touch wasn't always the best but he seemed to have a superb attitude and alwas seemed to try his best for Pools. He also scored the last goal at the vic before the year 2000 if I remember rightly and what a goal it was, a superbly executed overhead kick from the edge of the box against York.

What a goal that was against York!!

Not the most gifted player we've ever had but you can't really fault him for his contribution to the club, never gave less than 100% and scored his fair share.

He certainly earned his wages.
You can call the player crap as much as you want but he came up with the goods more often than most other strikers we've had at the club in the last eight years.

Thats on of my favourite ever pools goals, you dont see many overhead kicks go in from 20 odd yards!
Whats he doing nowadays?

I liked Hendo and I've met him before and was sound as a pound.

His 19 goals that season when Tommy notched just as many was one of the best Pools season ever.

It could have been soooo different though if he'd notched that open goal at Scunny!
