great result, taking chances when they're at a premium is always a good sign

Two goals from Two forwards, one goal sounds like it could be a goal of the season contender on day one. A point away from home at a club who should be battling with us at the top  and a good following to boot.

From what I heard on the Radio Nish seemed close to the action in the first half and it did sound like we rode our luck for periods of the second (happy to be contradicted by those that were there).

On the subject of Nish I couldn't help but think that the boys on radio Boro had been hanging around in the Mill House because he seemed to get quite a bit of criticism, certainly more than any other Pools player.

Hopefully Tuesday will give a few of the younger lads a crack at one of the better (on paper) sides in the division and we will start to stick points on the board in 2 home games and away at one of the leagues new sides. If I come back from Holiday and we have ten points on the board I'll be over the moon. rolf

Nish is a prime target for complainers, I'm confident he'll be very good this year, but moaners will point to him being the only 'established' striker brought in this summer and expect him to get goals every game. He's never played in England before but I think he'll adjust and do well

Id expect Mk Dons to get 70 plus points this season. We're not daft and they're a good side in this division. Excellent point where most will get none at all there.

they will be the favourites to win in every single home game in the league this season, including against the Sheffield clubs and Hudds, so a draw there is an excellent result. The other 3 toughest away trips are those other 3 I've mentioned, so putting things into perspective that is a brilliant point
