My car failed it`s test today because the ABS light stays on, can I just remove the fuse or will that not get it through?

If the car is fitted with abs it has to work, the abs unit turns out the light so removing its fuse will still leave the light on, usually fitted with a diode (depending what type of car it is) rather than a bulb to stop people taking them out, needs its code reading see what fault is causing the light to stay on

When I turn my headlights on the lights on the dashboard normally light up but they've stopped now, tell me it's just a fuse or something and the garage isn't going to bend me over and rape my financially like they normally do. confised sadx bbolt

Depends on how thorough the mot checker is. Assuming you take the fuse/bulb out some garages may not notice it not illuminating on start up. Some dont bother to check.

Same happened with mine, garage said abs werent lighting up so failed mot. I took dash out hoping previous owner had maybe removed bulb but it had blown. Fitted new bulb and it was constantly lit up so explains why it had blew. Wiring had corroded so they fitted new wiring for about £50 i seem to remember.

Have you got one of those Frog motors, if so maybe you deserve the financial violation?!

Had the same problem on a Corsa a couple of years back.
Apparently it's a common fault the light illuminating and at it's MOT the garage passed mine but advised me to get it checked out just in case.
