How many seasons does it take for an old shirt to become 'retro'?

hmmmm i'd say 10.

if your currently sporting the 1998/1999 1908 gold camerons blue n white striped shirt i'd class that as retro.

I want the 89-90 Scoreline Camerons shirt, The only one going online is £150!

Pools could make a pretty penny out of re-issued shirts, the 89-90 one and the 90-91 in new condition would fly off the shelves.

Maybe even the 91-92 Bukta shirt.

I'd buy all of these.

And the Umbro kit we had a couple of years later!

Had a look on the online store and was surprised to see you can get the shirt with your favourite players name and number ..... but no Solano or Nish - just O'Donovan, Rowell, Behan etc. May I suggest they release the squad numbers and update the site.

man city do there own line of retro shirts.

sports direct sell a canny few aswell, i was in the one at leeds the other week and they have leeds shirts in there from the 70's and early 90's.

I agree if they got together and done some re-makes of the late 80's shirts they'd do very well off them.

Newcastle sell their early 90's barcode shirt at their shop in the metrocentre, and the 1990 england shirts have done a fine trade as well.

I've got that "Scoreline" one, but it's from the season before..the badge is in the Centre and it's a different Scoreline Logo.

I've also got the Silver Away kit, "Heritage Homes".

Even if they just released t-shirts with the old club crests on. I`d buy them. All over retro stuff. I bid on ebay for the 1987-88 Spall shirt a couple of years ago but it went for loads in the end. Gutted!

I've got the one from the Cyril Knowles promotion season, no Pools badge on, just a big Yuills. Didn't we get it from one of the colliery teams after our kit provider pulled out?

I think we have been promoted every year we've played in chevrons.

Didn't think you'd approve of that sponsors logo of banger going off under a pigeons's arse Mr Mutley.

I believe it creates a paradox and the world implodes.

Sorry, but it still looks like old shirts cut into hoops and resewn out of synch to me. How many variations on this basic design can they come up with, wavey lines next year...? Ooops, I've just given the designers the idea for next years shirt. banghead

the trick is snowy, once you've ran out of ideas, you go back over, and start producing shirts to celebrate say, a 50th anniversary of a promotion season and so on, all very clever.

I like the shirt personally, it's very smart as are all nike shirts, i just dont like the fact other teams have exactly the same design.

Yloop loves the shirt and does not want us to go back to blue.

This statement is factually incorrect.

I hate stripes in general. Plain shirts please, and with proper collars.
