I always liked Keane in a sort of 'they're inoffensive' sort of way, nice voice, smashing lyrics, etc.

But I just heard them do 'The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore' and for even attempting to hold a candle to the original, they should be shot with a twelve gauge loaded with their own shite.

Best Of The Walker Brothers is one of the errmmmm..best things I ever bought and one of the hardest to leave at home when I moved. Montague Terrace is fantastic and one of the few I've heard covered (by The Family Cat) that did the Walker Brothers version any justice.

I can only remember the first verse and chorus...

"I've got a wife, shes 45,
She is more Dead than Alive,
We've got 2 kids, They're pasty and White,
we watch the TV Every night

Chorus
Meet The Family, yes sir-ee
Meet the Family what a tragedy
Meet the Family on the BBC
Cutting down, the Family Tree

The rest of it was about game shows, American TV and Couch Potatoes. We were very young!

Ah well we've all done it, we had an album track called 'Country and Eastern.' How laconic were we???

can't get away with them myself either - they'll knock out three or four albums that all sound the same and then hopefully welcome to the board.

Keane's cover of U2 with or without you on the live lounge CD is truly bad.
and the pianist fella writes songs for gwen stefani. but I can't quite dislike them...don't know why

When I saw the heading for this thread thought 'Is it about Roys transformation of a failing Sunderland' or 'Robbies goal and subsequent sending off against Spurs'

Could possibly have added some comment on either of those. Don't know a thing about this music ensemble thing called Keane.

They are jazz musicians of some notoriety apparently.

Listen ladies:

Its not bad music................just dull.

Why do SOOOOOOOOOO many people like dull music?

Because they eat what they're fed. The music policy on state controlled radio and television here is more relaxed than that at the BBC. And what the BBC does today, the rest of the media does tomorrow.

It's your licence fee, do something about it.
