How can we go about getting Tom Hark replaced as our celebratory tannoy tune ? Every other club has this and it is really sad as each club thinks of it as their own.

I had a dream over the weekend and it was that we used that mighty mighty anthem 'One Step Beyond' for our goal celebrations and obviously the crowd joined in and sang the line outloud amid the wild dancing.

How immense would that be, and it would be unique to us.

So who makes the decision ? how can we affect this change ??

It is so obvious and so easy - surely ?

.....and the new shirts have got Never say Die on the back of them, so there must be tacit recognition of what it means to the fans confised confised confised

Never say die would not work, it is not short enough, the 'hook' is not there. The actual impact of a few bars of music then the whole crowd giving the one line "ONE STEP BEYOND" would have real power, not to mention everyone bouncing about to it.

NSD may work as the song to come out onto the pitch, but it could not work 'post goal', the rest of the country and lets face it 50% of the crowd would just scratch their heads. It is only about 6 seconds of music that is played, you could not distill the essence of that epic into such a spurt.

Oh and I am sorry if I am repeating old ground, I can't help my dreams or when I started contributing to this earth shattering board.

O.S.B. is dated !! whay year is Never say die from ?? a tad more dated infact.

Date does not matter, it is the fact it is unique and everyone knows it.

besides is it is la la lala....la la lala... here in Hartlepool

Anyway it was only an idea I aint come on for an argument, if the fans want NSD then fair enough, the least we can do is all agree.

One step beyond would be my last choice.
Never Say Die to come out to,
No music, just the sound of the crowd when we score.

I think there should be two tunes for scoring or conceding.

conceding - a blast of 'come on harry, we're all going down the pub' -

scoring - something heavy , loud and unique - thinking ian gillan 'down the mississipi down to new orleans' bar or a sample of brian johnson screaming out over some riff

Or alternatively we could chuck a sack over John Orleys head about half two and chain him to a train to Aberdeen and put Mutley and Crimes in there to conduct musical proceedings from behind locked doors.

Anything ANYTHING rather than that hackneyed, awful AWFUL thing. rage
