What a joke that was yesterday. We got to Boston at 12.55, and got to the ground at ten-to-two! Nearly an hour to do 4 miles. Honestly, it's like sticking a League team in Yarm. Absolutely ridiculous and many, many Pools fans misseed the kick-off, which incidentally took place at 2.56pm..FOUR minutes early. Going home wasn't any better, even though we stopped back for a gauge there was STILL heavy traffic around the ground at 6pm. Sleepy non-League rubbish.

Likewise we were just congratulating ourselves on how good time we made going down then we hit the traffic light/roundabout combo that had us sat there motionless for 40 mins we made the club house for 13:20 which wasn't too bad but god only knows how long it would have took if there was more home fans trying to get there.
Best quote of the day from a slightly over weight chap going through the tight turnstiles"Ow pet hav ya got any gates for us fat bastards we're not all size 0 yer naa" rolfl clappp

we've had Micky Barron's and ECG's haircut scenarios. Mine is not re-subscribing to Pools World, which strangely enough expired after the Accrington away match. They ring me up about it all the time and I kept on making excuses, until Thursday when I told the woman outright, that I'm not re-subscribing because it might end Pools unbeaten run. So that's a "true supporter" excuse, if ever there was one. Isn't it?? confised

On the way in, we were stuck in traffic for about 25 minutes; on the way out however, we went about 30 yards in 40 minutes. Absolute disgrace, and we didn't leave until after 6:30pm!

Not long ago on the East Midlands news they were on about building a by-pass or dual carraigeway or something for PROGRESS but all the locals were up in arms about it and wanted it blocked.

When you look at Boston on the road atlas, it's a very small place, and there's hardly loads and loads of villages round it. Yes there were several hundred poolies driving through it yesterday, but it doesn't warrant the amount of time it took to get near the ground. It would have been quicker driving to Barnet!

I hope I NEVER have to go to that part of Lincs again.

Yes, but did you see the 'stump' and buy ostrich eggs from the classy deli on the 'main' road?

There have been appeals for a bypass for the town for years but to no avail. The traffic chaos is shite, but the local planners etc can't see the need for a bypass, when it's clear as day it's needed

when the sea levels rise in the next 300 years, only the top of Boston Stump will be sticking out of the water.

Chaos on the way in, but after the game, took the first road out in any direction leaving the traffic behind, set up the Tom Tom and lo and behold back on the A17 in no time. Home by quarter to eight.

I vowed I would never go to Boston again after the cup replay a couple of years ago because it is out in the back and beyond
