Just found out today my boss at my new job is this bloke, only found out today when one of the guys workin there asked me if it was a Hartlepool jacket I had on, he then informed me that Colin used to play for pools, talk about shock, nay astounded

He was hopeless, but did put a good shift in. I'm sure he was playing when we had that green away top with diamonds on. Think we signed him from some club in Scotland.

Thinking about it, some of the players we had at the time were worse than him. Remember they trained on the rec for a spell pre season.

and the irony is skeddy now plays on the rec.

I remember West scoring the winning goal at Orient in a 2-1 win on a Tuesday night the season we went down. It was our only away win and he celebrated with the Pools fans in the away end. Probably cheered/screamed louder than any of us. It was a good finish actually. He was a journeyman player and scored the odd goal such as at Huddersfield away (celebrated in the same style as Orient)
