I agree with you. These years since the late 90's have seen a dramatic reduction in manufacturing and an over reliance on financial services.

Fortunately we've got a new goverment who can at least try to do something about it.

Aye. They can put millions on the dole. All for the greater good.

Whose good though? Barclays?

Is it true that the Bunker is going to be sold off or is it already part of the "Big Society".

I also heard a rumour that it's going to be subject to Sha'ria law.

Why do you Scargill's conveniently forget about the billions wasted on two illegal wars? The money spent in iraqistan would wipe out the nation debt several times. And all down to the Liebour government of the people.

Absolute rot.
No party's tongue is more firmly planted up Uncle Sam's crevice than the Tories.

Mr I, why have allez's posts been 1656 for the last 3 posts?

Does it reset on a new topic?

Assuming its not some kind of right wing conspiracy.

Sorry Mr B but that figure has to be complete bollox. Rewind 28 years and the Falklands War lasted 10 weeks and had a total cost of around £2bn - about £4.9bn in todays money.

Are you seriously telling me that after fighting much wider wars and far more technological wars on two fronts for ten years, the cost is only the alleged £20bn?

Edited for factual accuracy.

On the basis that you blame the previous government for this mess, do you think its fair that this government put 100's of thousands of people out of work, just for the greater good?

The amount may well be more than 20 billion, but it won't be several times 900 billion, as you previously stated!
