Apparently our much respected council are meeting tonight to decide whether to freeze it as requested by the government.
What's the betting they do!!!
Considering we're about the 4th highest in the country I'm sure we can head for the top 3:)

They will freeze it because the government give them a grant for doing so. Which is a better way to guarantee income than pray people don't just default.

Its amazing that in such a shithole of a town our council tax can be so absurdly high.
Or looking at those salaries maybe it isn't.

Well if you don't live in the town, what the f*** are you getting excited about ...? I don't live in Bolton, Birmingham or Burnley and don't give a monkey's toss about what rates they pay there.

And if it's too big to fit in the car I'll just drag it round the corner and fly tip it.

i still take interest in my birthplace,i presume urs was in a horse pulled caravan heading to Appleby,so ur parents cud take part in the gurning contest, the same face ur father pulled during concieving you.
go lay down in a darkened room ur getting very excited, try some self flaggelation
Whatever, .... now try answering the question, I don't swallow the guff about 'ur' interest in the council tax in 'ur' birthplace, normal people tend not to worry about local politics when they leave . Why the obsession ...? ..don't say your coming back.

25 miles away... sctatchinghead Ah Darlo, it's all making sense now. You also state you prefer to live where you live now as the 'ppl' are are down to earth and would lend you a fiver .... aren't and wouldn't the people of Hartlepool?

and its not only the council tax,its what goes on in the kremlin politburo and how it impacts on like there. After all these ppl seem not to want to see the football club flourish.
They are selling properties in their portfolio below the market price,to an organisation that has councillors on the board, and yet probably want top dollar for the Vic
So tell us just what goes on in the 'kremlin politburo' then we're all ears, as opposed to what you imagine goes on.

well rather than bore you here, attend a meeting and you will find the way the local labour politburo treat ppl who have the cheek to ask pertinent questions.the woman who reported geoff lilley can dish it out but not take it,
you picked on one part, but ask why are they selling rockhaven for £60000 which is apparenly below market value,do they not want to see the Vic for a rerasonable price
Bore away and tell us all you know, it won't take a second longer.
