I have noiced recently that some people seem to think that the parking spaces near the baths are for disabled peoples parking.
NO THEY ARE NOT !!!
Those spaces are actually a pick up & drop off point for the selfish & ignorant which is made obvious by the symbol displayed there

Couldn't agree more!!!!  rage

But another thing that gets my goat is the 'disabled' people who do park there and go and do about 50/60 lengths every day....too disabled to work like!!!!  rage

It really pisses me off seeing people sat in those spaces as if because they are sat in their car that means its okay to be in the disabled space
Cant you employ a traffic warden at the baths ?

The traffic wardens are on speed or something right now, Tickets getting handed out left, right and centre.

Surely if you can afford to use the Mill House you can afford to go to Pools every game.

Not meaning to be a heartless twat but just a thought like.

i can't afford to use mill house i haven't been the gym for donkeys it's like £3.20 now, and the last time i went swimming i used a bottle top to get in for nowt.

I was there on sunday playing 5 a side, which didnt cost me any money at all as a few people over paid slightly.

In that case forgive me for making assumptions on other peoples situations.
& while youre at it stop doing the same thing yourself.

Disabilities are not always obvious or visible.
That blue badge says somebody with a bit more of a clue than you thinks the user needs access to disabled facilities.
Disabled people do not need to explain their situation to every selfish fvcker who envies their concessions.

the blue badge can also mean
there is fuck all wrong with me but i take my auntie vi shopping once a month so got the badge on her behalf and abuse the fucker as much as i can.
why do blue badge holders park on swainson street next to the grand and walk into the shopping centre when there are disabled bays in the shopping centre car parks
that blue badge is abused to fuck so dont claim all blue badge holders are hard done by

by the way this is well up on my hate list.

the car park at whitby railway station has the right idea
every fucker pays

The last two posts on this thread highlight the problem well.

Blue badges should be only given to those who actually NEED them and taken off all of those who don't. If and when this is done then the fines for parking in the disabled bays should be increased to about £500 a go to hammer anybody parking there who shouldn't in order to keep them free for those they are intended for.

So because there are some shitheads around we should take concessions away from the genuinely disabled ?
Tell you what why dont we just kill the disabled at birth & have done with it.

Next time you go to footy & are treat like an animal just remember as long as some people are hooligans everyone deserves to be treat like a hooligan

If you're referring to my post I think you've misunderstood what I said / meant. confised

My view is that the genuinely disabled SHOULD have the passes and the parking bays should be more vigourously monitored in order to ensure that they get to use them and the people without the right badge aren't parking there or are hammered if they do.

not really the cost of parking is surely covered by the disabled living allowance payment

i have no problem with genuine disabled people receiving parking concessions but there is far too much abuse of the system
there must be a fairer system

there was a documentry on a couple of years ago how the blue badge scheme was abused, they said down london they were changing hands for hundreds of pounds, also in birmingham they had a purge on them they copped someone coming out of a shopping centre he said he had just dropped his mother off so they rang her at home when she answered they confinscated his car

Im not referring to your post,I agree with you 100% that the bays should be monitored & those who abuse blue badges hammered for it.
As I said none of us know why somebody has a blue badge & it is none of our business.A badge holder has explained their needs to the relevant people & has no need to explain it to anyone else.
Monitoring is simple,a traffic warden sees you get in the car & asks is it your badge (or is the badge holder with you),if it isnt then you are prosecuted.
You can drop your mam/granny/auntie etc off,but unless they will be returning to the vehicle you go park elsewhere

Monitorng is simple? It's not!! Where are the resources coming from to have a traffic warden stood 9 hours a day watching cars come and go.
The council is already shedding loads of jobs so that's a non starter.
Money that could could be better spent keeping a youthy open or something.

in that case make sure they use the clock and limit the parking to 3 hours and no return for say 2 hours that way the warden won't have to be there to police it

I hate anyone who parks in disabled bays without a blue badge or anybody who abuses the use of their badge.

My dad is disabled and need sticks to walk after an accident working for Best Joiners, he has a blue badge for his car and wont let anyone else in our family touch the thing as he knows it will be taken away from him if say I use it (not that i would). In huntingdon I am always pulling people up for parking in the disabled spaces, some bloke told me to fuck off the other day so I reported him to the security guard and he got a ticket.

On another point my mam can park anywhere in the town for free as she has a HBC badge as she is a Marie Curie nurse so needs it for nights when she is working that have parking areas etc. However when she isnt working she still pays at the car park even thought the "tax disk" badge is still up.

I reckon if you could do a search on here for the phrase "my dad is disabled" then Compo will have used it nearly 1000 times.

It says alot about people who park in disabled bays when they are not disabled, selfish, lazy gits, and same goes for bastards who park in parent and toddler bays without kids. My piss is simmering at the thought.

On the other hand, who designs supermarket car parks? do they really need 500 disabled bays? There are always loads of them empty which suggests there are too many.

I foooking hate that. Same as Asda. People park in the space designated for taxis when there's loads of spaces in the car park just feet away.

People choose to have kids, they should park where anyone else does.

Nobody chooses to be disabled, so anyone who uses them spaces, and people who park on the end of a row of cars because they can't be arsed to look for space should be shot (only gently though)

On the other hand, who designs supermarket car parks? do they really need 500 disabled bays? There are always loads of them empty which suggests there are too many.

You can thank Mr Blair and his loony left brigade for that one. They passed a law something along the lines of a car park needing to have about 15% of its total number of spaces as disabled parking only, in spite of the fact that only about 3% of the population is disabled. stpid

the mrs goes f*** west when people park in them spaces and dont have kids, she blasts them.

i just hide, i'm not really bothered.

People choose to have kids, they should park where anyone else does.

The supermarkets could put the parent parking bays at the back of the car park and I would still use them if I had the littleun with me, with having small kids it is a lot easier to get them in and out of the car when the doors are fully open and you can do this in them bays because they are wider.

No, just a statement of fact.

Come on, even you have to admit that Lady Margaret is still a sexy beast even at 90.
