A few interesting ones there
Mighty Diamonds - Pass the Kouchie 'pon the left hand side. Tempted by that one at The Cluny
The View/The Automatic - if I were you I'd do what loads of people did at Newcastle and leave after The View (before The Automatic). Forget the monster coming over the hill and get a few more decent drinks in after the View and disappear. I saw the View before they played Newcastle at the head of steam and they looked about fourteen. I must have been merry cos I told them what I thought of their new album which is, after the demos, disapppointing and rather smooth.
Kings of Leon - great live band and tried to get tickets but sold out on the same day and well narked about that one. Great memories of last years gig.
I'm off to see Regina Spector at Northumbria Uni Sunday night and Stiff Little Fingers in March and thats it so far.

But if you get a chance to listen to the demo's of the View Chip they're far better than the actual album, far better. Mostly same tunes but much rawer and much shoutier, more like they are live - which is certainly not original but definitely worth a listen and good fun with it.
After hearing the demos I was very disappointed with the actual album

I'd agree with you about the views album, doesn't live up to the hype.I loved all the singles, was intrigued by the cover of up the junction.
the problem lies with the record companies to me,rush out an album to ride the wave of hype.a few years back bands like the view could put out their first album then build on it,these days bands are headlining festivals after only 1 album. the view album is still a promising debut though, the only problem comes when sainsburys have promotional displays up! not very rock n roll

Cheers feller. Live inbetween Whitley Bay and Blyth so wouldnt need a minibus, just a metro and a normal bus. Have to see cos I'm really skint at the moment and will have to make some cutbacks in the next year unfortunately
Who the hell is Jason Rinenberg? Never heard of him.
