It was an unbelievable miss but it happened. I felt sorry for him as he just doesn't seem to have any luck in front of goal BUT he was there to miss it so he got that right and another BUT........he could of hid and felt sorry for himself after it BUT he didn't.
In his time on the pitch he grafted for the cause and he deserves credit for that.
Strikers on a lot more than he is miss sitters...........its part of the game.

excellent post. he's getting in the right positions, and that's something we can't say about many of the other strikers at the club. give the lad a break, get behind him and boost his confidence. ideal scenario : he gets a goal, gets a few more and voila, we have another striker to call on that at least looks interested.

There was a lad behind us who was chuffed to bits with the miss. He had 0-1 and McSweeney to score. Not sure what the odds were, thought I heard 65/1.

The Whale Killer isn't up to it. Yes, as Groovy notes he grafted. So what. He's meant to be an International footballer. He's shyte & we're paying him.
He reminds me of the boat builder Sperrevik in build & clumsiness hence the reference.

I've seen all but two of the games Bjornnson has played. There's no doubt he grafts and no doubt he 's shyte. This was one of several misses over several games although most of the time he isn't in the right place at the right time.

Bjorrnsson is by no means alone. he should go along with a few others & free up cash for some loan signings.

In such a small squad we can't afford any passengers so Boyd, McKay etc can welcome to the board too.

The more I watch it, the more i feel sorry for Bjornsson. The way he crumpled into the post at least showed how gutted he was.

You never know it couyld turn out to be a good thing although i may be wrong in thinking that we will get behind him even more on his next appearence (at least away from home anyway) because of it?

I've been genuinely gutted for him since the second I saw the miss. It was a freak, he stuck his foot out to stab it home, there was no technique in it, he didn't try to be clever, for whatever reason the ball just went the wrong direction, you couldn't purposely send the ball that direction if you tried.

I hope it will make him stronger, more determined and like has been mentioned I hope it's a turning point. He could be a real assest to our squad.

I just hope he gets released at the end of the season.
