after the births of my two children, the discovery of this song on youtube could be the most important thing that has ever happened in my life. saw these supporting the smiths in middlesbrough in 1985, and then bought their album when i was living in manchester in about 1989. never found it on cd, only got it on vinyl and got no record player sadx

unbelievably important to me, and a joy to listen to. i would like to be buried to this.

It's amazing and extremely important how certain songs or pieces of music affect our lives and emotions.
We all have them and their meaning and contribution is priceless and often difficult to explain.
Things like that make us what we are.

this video is a photo montage of the first year of my son jacks life, i made this for his mam, to show her how quickly things change.

The music i pinched from ferris buelers day off, and is an instrumental version of THE SMITHS - PLEASE HELP ME GET WHAT I WANT

i think the song is beautiful, and the video aint half bad too.

There aint a member of my family who has watched this aint hasnt ended up in tears yet

if their is a more amazing piece of music in the world than this then i have not heard it cos i think this is the freakin bomb.

I never used to like the smiths that much, but i have a keen appreciation for them now.

Jack Wanley, enjoy my son...

I like that Smiths track also, the track "Ask" is a particular favourite........references to shyness, coyness and writing "frightening verse to a buck-toothed girl in Luxembourg" always makes me smile.

To turn this thread full circle, I saw the first band, Raymonde, support The Smiths quite a few times in '85!

I'm pretty sure I have the album on CD too, Aido.
