The day they travelled to the final, we turned up at Teesside Airport to find it full of expectant borers ..... sat amongst them for hours was too much, even worse was getting dragged off to be frisked and after several minutes I asked why.. I was told I looked suspicious because I was going to the final without any money and no visible sign of support.... i.e a shirt. I pointed to a grinning wife and told them she had my money and that I had no intention of going anywhere near the bloody final as I was going to Spain ( and if you're reading this Ian, you're accusations weren't helping the situation )
I was most gratified when I read the score the next day.
