So we sit about mid table with indifferent form. Where to from here? Up or down? Im a half full guy so I think we can edge our way up. Whether we have enough about us to nick a play off spot I'm not so certain!

I reckon the rest of the season will be very similar, if we can bag a decent striker on loan maybe we can sneak into the top half

Better than last year, but wont make play-offs.

It wouldn't surprise me if we finish in a position similar to what we are in now. As MisterB says a striker (or if Brown builds on his encouraging return from injury) could perhaps push us into the top half Which, given the previous two seasons, would be a massive improvement.

My heart tells me we will finish mid-table, but sadly my head says we are in for another monumental struggle. violin

At the moment I would expect us to finish lower mid table. However one or two additions to the squad fitting the bill of being better than what we already have or a surge of form from either Brown or Boyd could see us get into the top half. Having Jake Kean for the season would also be nice...

It would be nice to simply go into the last half a dozen or so games with virtually zero chance of us being relegated. A nice, comfortable finish with the team playing good football is vital. If we achieve that, and the signs so far are very promising under Wadsworth, I think Pools could easily get the average home crowds back to the 3,500 mark due to increased season ticket sales.

4th bottom this season will count themselves unlucky as I think it could be as high as 55 points to stay up this time
We have had 50 points the last 3 times we've been in a relegation scrap and one time it wasn't enough.
I can't see 50 being enough this season either

I also think Pools will touch 60 points, just making the point that it's gonna take more than 50 to be clear of the danger
