I know people are saying we have no decent strikers but how can we have 22 attempts at goal but only score 1? The likes of Monkhouse, Sweeney etc etc know where the net is and how to score? Can only be low confidence surely? Laws of average would mean even the worlds worst striker would be scoring a couple for us?

In my opinion it has a lot to do with the ultimate responsibility for scoring........i e strikers.
Monkhouse and Sweeney will always weigh in with goals but their role is supportive in the goal scoring stakes and shouldn't be seen as the main men when it comes to putting the ball in the onion bag.
If we had a twenty goal a season striker or even two strikers getting over thirty then double figure strikes from Sweens or Monky or both would be the icing on the cake. As it is I think Monky and Sweens are snatching at chances because of the resposibility placed on them to score regular.
Just an opinion like but I am sure it's got a lot of truth in it.
