that as from next season FIFA are going to clamp down on provocative goal celebrations. stupid

This includes yellow cards being dished out for-wait for it:

Holding your finger to your mouth (as if to say ssshhuuussshh) refyellow
Cupping your hand to your ear refyellow
Running towards fans with arms raised in provacative manner refyellow
Exposing hidden writing on undergarments refyellow
You can't even box the corner flag or you'll get a refyellow

I did read that yes. They can't even expose any non-sponsored logo's when they're swapping shirts after a game. It smacks of shifting the deckchairs on the Titanic, surely there's bigger issues in the game today than this?? I mean yes, running at the ooposition fans mouthing 'F...Off!!' may be incitement but when someones getting enormous stick off the fans and then scores, maybe he's entitled to his say in the nicest way possible??

Weren't you Mr Monkhouse

I want the refs to enforce the rule when the opposition score as rigorously and humourlessly as possible..thank you.... HOWEVER...when we score I expect the referee to emulate the laughing policeman and laugh uproariosly at our joy ...is what dibble is trying to say

Funniest quote I heard was from a ref was in the Echo some years ago... He was a traffic cop in County Durham who eventually caught a bloke doing over a ton on the A68 in the 70's when he caught him he asked him why he was doing the speed and the bloke said he was desperate for a shit ..." YOU'VE JUST FOUND ONE"

Surely i'm not the only one here who enjoys being wound up by rival players-it makes the game what it is-if they didn't wind you up you wouldn't have a reason to scream your head off at them everytime they come within 10 yds of you. rage

:sweet: don't even start me on linesmen :sweet:
