But, just a minute, my Grandad, after he retired, looked after the deck-chairs at the little bowling green place that used to be near the Fish Sands in Middlegate.
Does this mean Sussex and I might be related?

fk knows how people live on 60 bar a week long term. it just about covers my gas/leccy/water/phone/internet/tv. licence and some very basic grub.

If you're achieving that list on £60 per week, Chip, then you're doing really well. clappp

our lass has been living on it for the past 6 months since reduncdency, plus a few quid of benefits she gets it.

Doesn't stretch far i'll tell you.

Now she gets fuck all as they've stopped them cos i work.

Concurring with your statement though, how people sit about i dont know.

Me n the boy have been getting up about 8am, watching tv, playing with his toys, went the sandwhich shop at lunch, he's napped, i've played fm, then just sat about played with toys, read books, done a bit of drawing.

If that was my life everyday i'd go crazy.

It's different when you retire though, cos by then you've had enough of work.
You often hear pensioners saying they're that busy they wonder where they ever found the time to work !!!!!!!!!

Young people should work though, it doesn't do them any good idling away their time.

I was once out of work for five weeks and it drove me daft. Now I've retired I'm loving it.
Gardening, golfing, going to the Gym, annoying you lot on here..........it's great. The winter isn't so good because bad weather tends to keep you indoors so a little hobby such as wine/beer making whiles away the time.
Our lass works so I tend to do the cooking/housework.
I don't do ironing though..............the only irons I handle have numbers on them !!!!!!!!!!!
I might take up crown green bowling next summer as well.............that is one competitive sport around here.

I do make it known that I am prepared to service the odd desperate female but that usually falls on deaf ears.
