Was £28 a week when i signed on, how much was it for you?

PS

My giro day was Saturday and the bastid thing never arrived quite often

And the hours were good, but the money was shite

Mine was £32 I think, so at last I've found someone on here who's older than me
(apart from kev of course)
Funny thing is I went on actually to work in the dole office for a while and my income didn't seem to go up in the least

Mine was £25 a week £10 to our old bird (she use to give me £1 a day dinner money back out of this)

Ive never signed on the dole,but I left school to go on a YTS at £25 a week,tenner to the folks.I was one of the first generation of YTS 1983 was the year YOP became YTS.

My first wage after the YTS was £41.50

I was like a dog with 2 cocks, i couldnt spend it quick enough.
