No one stabbed. Two innocent Wednesday fans in hospital, one critical, the other with head injuries but not serious.

We all love our team. But surely anyone with a modicum of sense would NEVER get into physical violence because of it? stpid

There is only one reason I would get involved in physical violence, and that would be to defend my family.

Just heard on Yorshire radio that 2 Sheffield men are in hospital with head injuries following an argument between a group of men (the words of the radio ), no comment on condition as yet...fingers crossed for a full recovery though.

Hope the 2 Sheffield lads are ok, the pricks that call themselves Pools fans will probably be heros in the eyes of the other scum they hang around with.

I've not seen anything on SWFC forums either.

By all accounts Sid is in a pretty bad way - he has been put in an induced coma until Tuesday and has serious brain damage.

Guys we are as sick as you are that an innocent Owls fan heading home from Hartlepool ends up like this.
The other week we had the tall ships with over 1 million people welcomed to our town with open arms and not 1 problem then this happens over a game of football.
Its a sad day for Sid and his family and a sad day for pools fans and the town.

5 people arrested now from hartlepool according to the bbc, including 2 blokes pushing 50.

interesting that the police have stated the incident took place at 17:54. thats 2 minutes before the london kings cross train departed, and not 18:00 as some on the forums have claimed.

they are also stating it was a fight and not an assault ?

surely this must have been caught on cctv and seen by any number of witnesses ?

As there is a police investigation going on it is probably not a good idea to speculate or encourage discussions about what might of happened.

You always get a few idiots spoiling it for the majority. I've experienced the walk from the away end to the station myself a few times & its not a trip I enjoy, mainly because of the dickheads that hang around Church Street waiting to cause bother. This isnt a dig by the way because I know Pools fans have had the same bother at Darlo. Just wish these retards (all clubs have them) would find something else to do with their pointless lives & leave the football to those that want to enjoy the game & the rivalry.
