Me dads just been telling me about watching West View Albion at the Spion Kop in the late 50's early 60's as a kid. They used to play Sunderland reserves , Hordon etc. Anybody old enough to remember this? I didn't know there was a footy pitch there.

I used to play footy on the Spion Kop when I was a nipper. Would have been early to mid 60's. Not organised teams, just whoever turned up for a kickabout. But it was a proper marked out pitched, so somebody probably played 'real' games on it!
