what sporting event would you most like to witness with your own eyes?

ie, England footie winning the World Cup, England winning the Ashes, British Lions winning a tour, England winning the Rugby World Cup, Andy Murray winning Wimbledon.

For me it'd have to be watching England winning the Ashes down under. My favourite sporting tournament by a country mile, I'm gripped for all 25 days of it and to witness us winning it in their back yard isn't something that happens very often. It'd be red hot, I'd be leathered and the atmosphere would be bounching. :coool:

More chance of it happening as well, over the other options you listed.

Personally I would love to see England win the World Cup again, and this time I wouldn't go off and do a paper round before the match had finished.

Aside from England winning the FIFA world cup I'd go with Great Britain winning a tour down under against the Aussies at rugby league. Watching them win the ashes down under would also be superb.

I know it won't interest you Mutters, but Tesco are selling 24 cans (440mls) of Carling/Carlsberg/Fosters for £10.

i wanna see england win the world cup, but not now, i wanna have seen us win it in 1990, with gazza being immense.

And i wanna see us win the euro championships, but not now in euro 96.

Football just seemed better back then.
