Turner has left the club" brigade be there for the next home game.

One less excuse for them to use wonder what it will be for the next league game.....

"I had take the cat/dog to the vets
"The car could only get booked in for it's MOT on Saturday"
"I had to cut the lawn or paint something"

There so called valid excuse has gone, so let's see them get off their a***s and at the Vic.

I think its absolutely disgusting that these so-called "supporters" are now thinking of going to the next home game.

Those that decided to stay at home just because of Turner, when we were struggling last season, before Liddlegate, where were they then?

So are you going to come to the Vic for the Wigan and Wendies games and ask people to prove their attendance last season and this so far before allowing them in?

If 500 people come back 'because' Turner has gone then good on them, all fans are welcome if they pay, or are you too thick to see that football is a business?

Yes, but don't you think its a bit fickle for them to be coming back just now when our manager has resigned.

No my dad had a season ticket last year and did for the 20 years before that, but didnt renew this year because of Turner. He is now going back next home game and will every home game again this season.

Pleople choose with their feet if they dont like it they wont go, I argued with my dad about it who still loves pools but said that he didnt want to go until he went end off.

Also I would call my dad a "supporter" and fickle he used to go with me in the early 90's when we were shocking the difference is Pools didnt have a pot to piss in but at least they tried. Thats what got my dad the inept performances last year of a team looking like they didnt care with a manager who had clearly lost the plot.

For quite a while in the 90's they didn't try, I'll start the ball rolling with an inept manager and a player who was the laziest feck around

Vivian Busby & John Gallacher

I hope that the crowds come flooding back but for me, by staying away, these former supporters were part of the problem.

clappp clappp clappp

It's pish really, MOD was saying the other day about the regular 'open days' 'Pools used to have

I've been going since 1988 and can only remember one

I agree and argued the toss with my dad about it, but a bloke who had a season ticket for as long as I have been alive one year says he is not renewing his ticket and just picking games to go to because of Turner says a lot to me.

I hope the crowds come back and glad that my dad is returning. We are in the period of the most successfull time at the club staying in this division longer than we ever had, I think he just didnt want to see it all chucked away and amount to nothing returning to the basement league and potentially the way of darlow.

I am not defending my dad but probably trying to explain why he left get some of their point across. Now hopefully we can look up the league instead of down and bring more people and changes to the club.

Let's see how long it lasts before people fall out with the new manager.
I'm staggered at the amount of people who post on Hartlepool messageboards yet refuse to go for one reason or another:)

You said that, "your staggered at the amount of people who post on Hartlepool messageboards yet refuse to go for one reason or another".

Wasn't it you who was saying to Yubep the other day that if he could find a way of going to pools he could, like he wasnt a good supporter for not being able to go financially.

How is that staggering? If people dont want to or cant go for one reason or another thats up to them.

Like people who buy two chickens for a fiver in Tesco but then complain about people who go hunting due to the welfare of the birds

Plus if they did have these 'open days' they never worked, throughout the 80's, and 90's Saturdays 2,800 would have been a decent crowd!

I travel to home games from West Yorkshire so not only does it cost me the ticket price but I also shell out £30 for petrol to get to the ground and back.
I would have been going to the Sheff Wed game no matter who was in charge as it is one of the big games this season. I shall also be going to the away fixture for the same reason though it's more like a home fixture to me.
My brother lives near Chichester and he travels up to as many home games as he can, usually 5 or 6 a season. His round trip is approx 600 miles. He attends as often as he can no matter who is manager because he loves pools.
We both have supported pools all our lives as did our dad no matter how bad the team played or who was the manager and if I still lived in Hartlepool I'd go to see the reserves and youth teams (as my dad did).
I've stood in the old rink end getting pish wet through watching the team I love get beat 6-0 by Scarborough and also been to the milennium stadium to watch us get beat again. I saw us trounce Leeds on their own turf and lose 2-0 but felt proud as punch to see my team play Leeds in the same league.

I love pools with a passion and we have never had it so good, the last 10 years have been absolute heaven.

Out with the old and in with the new and if the next 10 years are as good as the last me and my brother will both die happy. Stop whingeing and go watch the lads every Saturday you don't know how lucky you are.

I know a lot do fall into this group but I know three if not 4 people who will be going all season now because turner has gone, two of them have probably been to more Pools games individually than me and you put together.
