Yes

Only because of your trip to Sid James Park

Let's not forget this, MOD, clubs like the Bore, the Mugs and Blunderland would LOVE to see us fold, so they can mop up the 2500-4000 fans and no-one can tell me otherwise

Agree with you there TA.
We have never had much support from the big 3.

Apart from their block votes which, maybe unjustly, kept us in the Football League for years when re-election was in place.

considering the Borer owe us for loaning them the Vic when they went under, what exactly have they done for us. I can only remember Stephen Pears coming to us but not sure if it was straight from them.

We never seem to get any loan players, I maybe wrong like.

Phil G wasn't a loan player, but the Bore seem to have loaned us more then Newcastle & Sunderland as far as I can recall

Sunderland especially used to send their loanees out to York for some reason

Stephen Pears wasn't a loan player either.

I assumed he meant players in general from there.

In fact, Stephen Pears was a bloody nuisance, past it, his legs had gone, his eyes had gone and he was bloody expensive.

I have often wondered why the "big three" in the North-east dont want to loan us all their reserve or fringe players surely its in their interest too.

Agree at Pears he couldnt catch a cold.

One of the biggest let-downs ever. he was truly rubbish.

ps, im fairly sure we got him from liverpool (where he was coaching)

god knows what he was coaching but obviously it wasnt football.

We also signed David Clegg from Liverpool, could have been round about the same time.
He was also going to be the "next big thing"
Ended up working in an undertakers.

Dalgish said he was 'the free signing of the summer'

He's always been pretty hard to understand though so I presume the journalist misquoted him

I seem to remember that the full members (divisions one and two) all had 4 votes each, with 5 teams being up for selection. So the team that polled the fewest votes was not admitted into the league the following year (9 times out of 10 this was the non league club put forward by the various non league associations)
The associate members (divisions 3 and 4) only had one block vote of 4 for each division, so regardless of how many of those clubs might have voted for the non league club to come in, the net result of those 48 clubs was only 8 votes in the process - out of a total of 360

It was re-election, what did you think it was, the Eurovision Song Contest?

No wonder the League got rid of re-election.

The Club(s) that was deemed the least popular for whatever reason, whether it be poor results or anything else, dropped out.

There must have been a reason why we got re-elected back in to the League all them times - they must have thought the Club was worth saving, and look at us now.

So you do realise that it was done on voting then?

That's a start.

Do you know who got to vote?

If not, I suggest that you read Mr Parmo's post from earlier on, it might give you a bit of a clue.
