Local lads

it's always been something I want to see at Pools - at least a couple of lads from the town good enough to make the grade and play for the club. Players like that will always go that extra yard for their hometown club I feel

Same here Parmo I love it......These lads are supporters of this club aswell.

The second half yesterday was the first time we had three Hartlepool-born players on the pitch in a competitive match since the 2-1 win at Chesterfield under Cooper in October 2003. John Brackstone started that match and we used Paul Arnison (76mins) and Adam Boyd (89) as subs, so we only really had three local lads on the pitch for a minute or so.

The last time three Hartlepudlians started a league game for Pools was back in March 1987, when Roy Hogan, John Borthwick and Marty Hewitt started at Peterborough.

Marcus Richardson was truly awful in that match that night, I'm sure he tackled himself at one point and collapsed in a heap.

Got a feeling he scored though. :shock:
