The season is two days away and everyone from the Bookmakers to media pundits have wrote you off. The season looks like being a long one and the only people who can determine how it pans out is those players who pull on the shirt on a match day.

We go into the season in the 3rd tier of English football for the 4th season running a club record, can we extend that and stay up ? As fans we all hope so, as players do you want a relegation on your CV, for some it may be the end of your career at Pools when the season finishes do you want to be remembered by Pools fans for being responsible on us being back in the bottom league. do you want to play in the bottom division ?

The fans know it may well be a hard season but will be looking at you the players (and the management) to give us something to smile about and hopefully some good times.

A lot of you , have been through the last two seasons relegation battles were we stayed up on the last day, you've been through the course , you have the experience for a relegation battle if it comes to that.

For success a team lives or dies solely on how well they work together as a team, as a unit. Lets try to get out the traps quick, get points on the board. We the supporters will try to lift you when needed, you the players will need to do the same and lift us. When you run out at places like Yeovil, Southampton, look at our end and just think that we the fans have just made a hell of a journey to the opposite end of the country to support you.

We're all in this together, some fans (me included) have made comments on these boards having a go at your displays, that doesn't mean we don't support you as a team , it's said in the heat of the moment, when feeling down ,when we have witnessed performances that have had nothing in them.

Pools fans will always get behind a team of triers a team that fights till the final whistle, we have been in the lower leagues all our history, we're used to losing more games in a season than winning ( usually )

Just give your best or as near to it as possible each game and you WILL prove everyone who has written you off before a ball is kicked wrong.

From every Pools fan Good luck for the season, lets just make sure that come May, we're still in this division. If we're not make it the Championship and not League 2 for next season.
