I renewed but now sort of regret doing so as I cant see me attending enough games to make it worthwhile having.

Mine is a mixture of the apathy I felt for lots of last year, though I still enjoyed away trips despite our piss poor away form, saving money cos I would have had to buy 2, and the fact I missed 3 home games last year and will probably miss at least as many this making a season ticket pointless.

I didn't because I work 3 on 3 off and it wouldn't be viable to miss 50% of the games

The way that everybody dares not rock the Fu*cking IOR boat for that little bit more...... are you lot really happy??? Where I work your as good as your last job!! end of conversation stop living in the Fu*cking past you will never get it back.

Piss poor player attitudes that produces weak as pi$$ performances from our so called senior players who are just going through the motions.

I am no jump on Jonny... I'm approx 28 yrs in supporting this club, but it was not that long a go we were only 8mins from playing in the Championship.

Now were back to :

Little Hartlepool United
No Money
No Fans
No Manager STILL

It's boiled my pi$$ so much its turned into steam and I have no pi$$ left to boil.

I will still attend but I will choose my games season ticketless.

I've renewed.
I must admit last season was awful but I started going in the late 70s and the first 20 years of going bar 1 or 2 great seasons were pretty bad.
I love Saturdays, Saturdays are football days and that means watching my local team.
The players might not turn up most Saturdays but I will because I foooking love Pools.

We've never had that many fans, not since the 50's when there was knack all to do apart from get ricketts and TB

Under both Gibson & IOR, we have only ever filled the ground when it was nailed on we were going up, more or less, as far as I am concerned

The club could let people in for nowt and they wouldn't come, indifferent people who would rather bump the teeth about this and that and how crap 'Pools are

And lets not forget the sepia tinted brigade who miss the Barker/Smart/Gibson days, when everything was rosy and the chairman greeted every fan with a handshake and a photocopy of every going on at the club

Just because i havn't renewed doesnt mean i wont be going i enjoy my match day, hot footing down to the club sinking a few pints, having a bit of banter and having a bet then calling into the Millhouse at 2.45 for a sharp one and then a pint at half time and few after. Its just the bit from 3.00-3.45 and 4.00- 4.45 that was pissing me off.

It just means when the winter comes and ive been grafting outside all day freezing my knackers off and its a night match i just might give it a miss or if i want a weekend away i wont be planning it around pools home games

If you had any real love for Pools you wouldn't be buggering off and putting your money into the Mackems coffers.

I'm actually looking to go a bit more this season, i've got a kid who loved the 2 times she went last year and some nephews that also loved the game they went too and loved watching the world cup.

Spender,
For a while we seemed to of lost that small / joke club tag.
Other teams did actually start taking us seriously again for a while.
At present most teams this coming season will be looking to take 6points from us.
Like I said I'll pick and choose my games.
People's ambitions are bigger than others..... I just don't want another dog fight it's not good to watch

we have never stopped being a small club but why are you saying we are a joke club again?
none of the main players from last year have gone and the squad has up to now been strengthened with a left back which we have been crying out for.
hopefully a couple more signings to follow and I'm sure if turner hadn't signed so many 'duds' last year (which we are still lumbered with)he would have received more backing in signing players.

The problems I can see next season are a continuous flirt with the bottom 4, unexciting football, calls for the managers head and sub 3000 crowds becoming a regular occurance.
Sick as foook:)

No far from it...... a glory supporter?.

Where you at blackpool when we had not scored for what seemed like a life time... I was!
That's what supporter I am pal. Seen it all and why should we go through it again.
You are the typical supporter who thinks we punch above our weight.

Why should we go through it again?

Cos thats football mate you can't be at the top of your game all the time, you go through it again cos your a pools supporter, end of.

Paid for my season ticket but still waiting for it to arrive. This will be my 48th year following Pools, although I haven't had a season ticket all that time. I thought my first one as a school-kid cost about 30-bob, but that doesn't fit with the admission charge of a shilling at the time. Maybe it cost a guinea.

I can understand supporters being particularly disappointed with the last two seasons in the light of what happened in the immediate preceding years. Expectations have been raised; but considering where the club has been for most of its history, these are the better times. That doesn't mean I'm content & wouldn't like more, but unless there is a major change in local support & the perception of the club, then League 1 football is the best we can hope for.

Championship football would be unsustainable without vastly increased support. The club owners have their part to play in this equation.

clappp clappp Well said poolie on Tyne

I also agree the Championship may be a bridge to far?

It would be nice to have the Vic back to being a home banker and somewhere to fear for the visiting team

Yes, uninformed commentators and Poolie supporters alike used to say "Hartlepool United, a model of how to run a small club"

It was sickening listening to it, and most of you even believed it. The model - borrow a million pounds each year. The only difference was your owners were not calling your debt in or suddenly cut the funding off.

Model club my arse.

...Yeah, maybe in the last 5 or 6 years we should have had owners who wanted to own a club but basically could'nt really afford to.........something for us to aspire to perhaps.
