So as rumours of a takeover subside and fears of doom and gloom hang on the horizon like the four horsemen, who is to blame?

Who has fucked off such a weathly and generous backer so much that they potentially may have decided to walk away and sell.

Is it the stay away fans?
Is it the players?
Is it the press?
Is it the sad not nice people who have week in and week out slated the owners and their personal business decisions.

It's right like.
The only criticism you see of IOR is the odd time on the messageboards or the odd grumble amoungst fans when the team are doing shite!!

maybe they just got bored with it ? its not like hodcroft is a childhood pools fan or even gets to that many games.

maybe they realised even ploughing £3 million a year into a league one side isnt enough to buy success anymore ?

maybe they are strapped for cash and need to sell ?

maybe the penny finally dropped and they now accept that the majority of people in the town have never, and will never, support pools other than for one off games like sunderland and cardiff ? lets be honest there are loads of lads born and bred in the town who wouldnt bat an eyelid if pools went under, but would be gutted if liverpool/man utd didnt qualify for the champions league.

there has never been an ior out banner at pools, or chants of ior out. even the message boards have been almost universally supportive. not that ken reads them anyway like.

Welcome to the real world. There are only around 2000 people in either Darlo or Pool who really give a shit about the towns team. Another 1000 or so might be disappointed if they lost their saturday afternoon entertainment. The other 80/90,000 in the town really dont give 2 shits if the club is there or not. As long as they get the fuckin mancs on the telly on champs league night, they'll be happy, wankers the lot of them.
