Once again Pools have to rely on a defender to earn a share of the spoils. OK Behan scored at Garforth but it was a pen. All these forwards in the squad but as widely predicted, it seems none of them are going to break any scoring records this season.

larkin was put in centre midfield and mackay on the right last night, there trying to find new roles for these guys cos they are just not goalscorers.

How the hell did mackay get such a long contract with us?

Plus we've released the only 2 decent attacking midfielders we had, and seem intent on playing Gamble who's shite and Murray who's 476 years old.

whilst we play 4-5-1 we have fook all chance of scoring.

its a shite formation. If were gonna go down, lets go down attacking....and play a proper 4-3-3.

The players are simply not technical enough at this level to play 4-5-1, you can do it at the top level cos you have world class versatile supremely fit players but down in the lower leagues you just can't go wrong with the basic 4-4-2.

We should only play that way, tactically its sound and its the only formation a league one player can really play.

what i don't understand most of all is, Turner has only been successful as a manager playing a 3-5-2 formation (if my terribly bad memory serves me correctly)

so why in fookety fook doesn't he go back to it? If it was so successful 1st time round, why not go back to it?

Because then we had 3 capable centre halves, now I don't think we could make 1 with the ones we have

3-5-2 got us to 3 play offs but could never get us over the finishing line.

In the end he changed to 4-4-2 and then we finally got promotion.

Your right though misterb, turner loved 3-5-2 for years, very surprised he hasnt went back to that.

He changed the season before we got promoted, he moved barron to right back, robinson left back, lee and westwood centre back.
