Given the squad we have, the so far awful pre season we are having and now Chris Turner openly asking to be allowed to strenghten the squad I really fear we could get a good hiding at Rochdale.

As we have experienced ourselves in the past, a promoted team can carry that momentum into the next season and go on to do well again. We are weaker now than when we stubmled across the finishing line in May and absolutely nothing has happened at HUFC between May and now.

Can anybody really see anything other than a defeat at Rochdale given our away record which has been the case for what now seems like forever.

At the minute I don't blame Chris Turner for anything that has happened or not happened at The Vic since the end of last season. IOR or Hodcroft will be culpable for anything that happens from August 7th onwards. Yes Turners selections and tactics are questionable but his commitment and passion are not.

I've been going to Pools since 1984 and I can't remember many previous seasons where absolutely nothing has happened.

Just now I am not looking forward to 2010/2011 at all.

Sweet baby jesus on a bike don't call IOR because if they go there will be no club.

I'm not surprised IOR haven't given him the resources to strengthen the squad. They gave him resources during the last close season and he "strenghened" the squad to such an extent that our finishing position was even worse than the one before.

How many fans do people think will travel?

The way things are I can see there being less than 500 which would be rather disappointing for an opening day fixture, my money is paid and I'm on the bus to go but I'm not looking forward to it..... I feel like a right miserable twat considering it is the start of the season.....

But Hodcroft said he wouldn't put up with weak finishes to the season - it's happened in May and the team management is still there??????
